FAQs
How quickly can you respond to a roofing emergency?
Call 912-410-6067. For storm damage, a fallen limb or a sudden leak we can often be out the same day to tarp the roof and stop water getting into the house. That buys time to do the permanent repair properly, and it protects your insurance claim, because damage that keeps spreading after you knew about it can get pushed back on you.
Do you provide free inspections?
Yes, we offer free, no-obligation inspections and detailed estimates for all services.
What roofing materials do you recommend for Georgia’s climate?
For most homes here we install architectural asphalt shingles, which handle coastal heat and wind well and give the best balance of cost against life span. For barns, shops, additions and homeowners who want the longest service life, we install standing seam and exposed fastener metal. On flat and low-slope commercial roofs we use TPO and modified bitumen. Whatever you are leaning toward, we will lay the options out side by side with real numbers so you can compare honestly instead of guessing.
Can you work with my insurance company after storm damage?
Absolutely—we handle the documentation, communication, and claim process to make things as stress-free as possible.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we partner with financing providers to make your project affordable with flexible payment plans.
How long does a roof installation take?
Most residential roof installations are completed within 1–3 days, depending on size and complexity.
Do you provide warranties?
Yes, and they are two separate things. The manufacturer warranty covers the materials and comes from the shingle or metal supplier. Our workmanship warranty covers the installation itself, which is where the large majority of roof problems actually start. Both are put in writing with your estimate, so you can see exactly what is covered before you sign anything.
Can you replace windows and doors during a roofing project?
Yes, we can coordinate multiple services to save time and reduce disruption to your home or business.
How much does a new roof cost?
Every roof gets priced off the actual roof, not a guess. The main drivers are square footage, pitch, how many valleys and penetrations you have, whether the decking underneath needs repair once we tear off, and the material you choose. A single-story ranch in architectural shingle and a steep two-story in standing seam metal are very different numbers, which is why a phone quote from anybody should make you cautious. We measure it, inspect it, and give you a written estimate at no cost, so what you are comparing is a real price. Call or text
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Ellabell and work across Southeast Georgia: Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Bloomingdale, Guyton, Pembroke, Springfield, Garden City, Port Wentworth, Thunderbolt, Brooklet, Statesboro, Metter, Claxton, Fleming, Midway, Glennville and Hinesville. If you are near one of those and not sure whether we come out that far, call and ask. The answer is usually yes.
How long have you been roofing?
Roofing Done Right opened in 2023, built on more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the trade. That combination is the point: a company small enough that the owner is actually on your job, run by someone who has been doing this long enough to know what coastal Georgia weather does to a roof over ten and twenty years.
Are you licensed and insured, and what does FORTIFIED certified mean?
Yes, licensed and insured, and we are glad to send you the certificate before any work starts. We are also a FORTIFIED Roof certified contractor. FORTIFIED is a construction standard from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety that goes beyond building code specifically for wind and water intrusion: a sealed roof deck, better fastening, and reinforced edges. On this part of the coast that is often the difference between a roof that comes through a storm and one that gets replaced after it. Ask us about it if you are replacing a roof and plan to stay in the house a while.
